About HOPE in Action

Save lives during global health emergencies!

Help Project HOPE provide lifesaving medical care and support to those affected by global health emergencies like the devastating food crisis in Nigeria.

The health and survival of millions of women and children are at stake as famine looms in Nigeria. Amid growing fears of mass starvation in parts of Africa and Yemen where conflict, drought and economic instability have combined to create the most severe food crisis in decades, Project HOPE deployed a team of health and nutrition experts to assess the immediate humanitarian needs in northeast Nigeria. More than 4.7 million people are in urgent need of food assistance and basic health services. Malnutrition rates continue to rise and there has been a sharp increase in waterborne diseases, including diarrhea and cholera as 2 million people were forced to flee their homes by Boko Haram.

Create your own fundraiser to provide the vital impact funds which allow Project HOPE to respond effectively to the devastating threat of famine in Nigeria and other emergencies around the world. You can help deliver urgent healthcare solutions to those in desperate need of help by signing up for HOPE in Action today!

Project HOPE is an international global medical nonprofit organization established in 1958 with a mission of advancing health care around the world. Project HOPE has worked in more than 120 countries, improving global health through community education, training of medical providers and the delivery of humanitarian assistance. Identifiable to many by the SS HOPE, the world’s first peacetime hospital ship, Project HOPE now conducts land-based medical missions.

Project HOPE’s focus is on sustainable rather than short-term health improvements and it is committed to working in partnership with local government agencies, other international nonprofits, and with the business sector to develop long-term solutions to complex health challenges.
